From May to August 2025, the Metis Foundation hosted HyperHack 2025, a long-form hackathon designed not just to build projects, but to transform them into sustainable products. Unlike the traditional 48-hour format, HyperHack provided time and structure for teams to move from ideation through development, testing, and marketing.
The mission was clear:
The journey began with more than 130 ideas in the ideation phase. By the final submission deadline, 40 projects had been completed and presented. The momentum continues with the first LazAI Quest, now live on the Hyperion Testnet, where you can test features, make your first transaction, and earn rewards.
Participants in HyperHack benefited from extensive community and ecosystem support:
The Spotlight Campaign was a standout feature, designed to give developers practical exposure to marketing and go-to-market strategies. Subsidies for campaigns, templates for outreach, and hands-on support allowed teams to experience what it means to build not only a product, but also a brand.
The results spoke for themselves: StreamNFT led the way as the top performer, while Fracture Point, Safe Work Pay, BOLTIS, and LazaiTrader achieved second place recognition. Haithe, Festify, and Eduverse rounded out the third place category, proving that creativity and persistence go hand in hand.
Each awarded $5,000: LazaiTrader, GM² Agent, Score Milk, Tweetrade Bot, Haithe, and MetaMuse.
The winner’s announcement event was not only about recognition; it was about hearing from the builders themselves.
Their reflections underscored the spirit of HyperHack: collaboration, creativity, and a shared commitment to making Web3 and AI more practical, accessible, and powerful.
The Metis leadership team emphasized that HyperHack was part of a much larger mission. The foundation has evolved into a portfolio of innovations spanning blockchain, AI, and zero-knowledge technologies. Highlights include:
As co-founder Elena noted, Metis itself began in 2019 with zero funding. The message to participants was clear: anything is possible with persistence and vision.
While the hackathon has concluded, the builder journey continues. Winners will receive their rewards following milestone reviews, ensuring that projects remain on track for real-world impact.
In parallel, the LazAI Build & Chill Workshop Series offers another opportunity to learn, collaborate, and compete for a share of a $2,000 prize pool. Beyond competitions, the Metis community remains active across forums, Telegram, and Twitter, where developers, marketers, and entrepreneurs share knowledge and support one another.
The next step is yours: join the first LazAI Quest on the Hyperion Testnet, explore the features, and take part in shaping the AI future.
HyperHack 2025 was more than a competition. It was a collaborative effort to turn ideas into lasting contributions for the Web3 and AI ecosystems. From innovative trading platforms to essential infrastructure, the projects demonstrated what is possible when builders are given both time and support.
Congratulations to all the winners and participants. The hackathon may have ended, but the momentum it generated is just the beginning of the next chapter.
